Magic is a great way to build confidence and self-esteem. This after school magic workshop introduces kids to the ART OF MAGIC. In this workshop, BenTastic OR Magic Mel will take the kids backstage and reveal the true secrets of how to amaze others. Apprentice sorcerers will have the unique opportunity to peek into the secret life of a magician. Many of the illusions use simple everyday items that are found around the home. Best of all, the kids will learn about patter, misdirection, and presentation.
In the first 6 weeks, students will learn magic tricks and will learn to hone their skills.
In Week 7, the students will have an opportunity to showcase their newly acquired skills- each child will be given to opportunity to perform a “mini show” in front of their classmates (note: for children who are a bit shy, there is absolutely no pressure) The final day of the workshop ( week 8) is a celebration of the kids' achievement at becoming official magicians, marked by a special guest magician performing a full magic show and recognizing the kids as official magicians on the final day.
The kids will learn magic tricks through a combination of demonstration, practice, and guidance from experienced magicians. The instructors/magicians will show the kids how each trick is performed and provide step-by-step instructions for them to follow. The kids will then have the opportunity to practice the tricks under the magicians' supervision and receive feedback to improve their technique. The magicians will also provide tips and tricks to enhance the performance of each trick, allowing the kids to truly shine as they show off their newfound skills on week 7 and beyond.
